President Muhammadu Buhari released white pigeons, a symbol of peace as Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and Senate president, Bukola Saraki watched on. The president also signed the anniversary register. He was assisted by some top dignitaries to cut the anniversary cake. Those in

attendance were former Head of State Abdulsalami Abubakar, former Vice Presidents Alex Ekwueme and Namadi Sambo, other top government dignitaries and members of the diplomatic corps. The 56th independence anniversary was celebrated in a low-key fashion.
Since October 1, 2010 when the anniversary celebration was marred by bomb blasts at the Eagle Square, Abuja, all subsequent anniversaries have been celebrated in the presidential villa.

Kampala - Two Ugandan TV presenters have been fired after being caught having sex in the office, reports Naij They were photographed having sex while on duty. Anne Nakawombe, the host of NTV Login and Kevin Kaija were seen having sex atop a table, blissfully unaware of the hidden camera filming them. The duo took their time stripping and finally making love to what appeared to be a pornographic video playing Nakawombe has been presenting 'Login', an entertainment show and has been doing the programme for more than a year now after succeeding Robin Kisti who flew out of the Uganda to the United States.
