QUOTE OF THE DAY

"I don't really want pretty people" - Kate Moss on her new talent agency. She's apparently tired of being surrounded by people who are really, really ridiculously good looking.

CAPTURED

THE STORY

Yesterday, the guy suspected of carrying out last weekend's NYC and NJ bombings wasarrested and charged with attempted murder.

THE WHAT

On Saturday, a pipe bomb exploded in NJ along the route of a charity race. No one was injured. Later that day, a bomb exploded in NYC's Chelsea neighborhood. 29 people were injured, none seriously. A second device, which didn't go off, was found nearby. Then, on Sunday, several explosive devices were found near a train station in Elizabeth, NJ. Cue a massive investigation to figure out the who and why.

SO WHAT'S THE LATEST?

Yesterday morning, people in the NYC area got a mobile alert with details on a suspect that had been ID'd from fingerprints on one of the bombs. Hours later, the owner of an NJ bar found the suspect sleeping in the doorway. The suspect was captured after ashootout with police.

WHO IS THIS GUY?

He's a 28-year-old American originally from Afghanistan who wasn't on US officials' radar. He's been living with his family in Elizabeth, NJ. He traveled to Afghanistan and Pakistan a few times in recent years. Officials say the bombings were terrorism, but as of right now, there's no evidence that he was part of a larger terror cell.

ANYTHING ELSE?

Yup. Also over the weekend, a man dressed as a security officer stabbed ten people at amall in Minnesota. The suspect was killed, and all of the victims survived. ISIS claimed responsibility. Now, officials are investigating it as a potential act of terrorism.

WHAT ARE PEOPLE SAYING?

President Obama, who's in NYC for the UN General Assembly, said he's watching the situation and that Americans "do not and never will give in to fear." Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton pointed out that she's the "only candidate" in this race who's had to make policy decisions when it comes to terrorism. GOP nominee Donald Trumpclapped back by saying Clinton's "emboldened terrorists all over the world."

It's been a scary few days for NYC and the rest of the country. Expect to hear more about this from the candidates - especially at the first debate next week.

REPEAT AFTER ME...

WHAT TO SAY WHEN YOU GET THE INVITE FOR YOUR HS REUNION...

RSVP yes. World leaders are reuniting this week for their annual off-site at the UN General Assembly in NYC. Today, President Obama will kick things off by replaying his greatest hits. This is his last meeting as prez, so expect to hear about everything he's accomplished in the last eight years. Britain's new PM Theresa May is also making an appearance. She's the one who replaced David Cameron after this summer's Brexit vote, so everyone's bloody curious to hear what she has to say. On the global leaders' agenda? How to address a global refugee crisis, fight ISIS, and what the F to do about Syria. It's looking like a week-old cease-fire deal there has already fallenapart. This morning, 12 people were killed when a UN aid convoy trying to get to the city of Aleppo was attacked. And re ISIS, if the heads of state can't figure out what to do, Amal Clooney's on it.

WHAT TO SAY TO YOUR GIRLFRIEND WHO WANTS TO HAVE HER BACHELORETTE PARTY IN NASHVILLE...

Don't drive. Unless you like waiting in lines. Gas prices across the Southeast are spikingand lines at the pump are starting to look like airport security sans TSA Pre-Check. Earlier this month, an enormous oil pipeline running from Houston to New Jersey started leaking in Alabama. Hundreds of thousands of gallons of oil have spilled. Oops. The pipeline is a main supplier of gas to the East Coast. And since it's been temporarily shut down to be fixed, gas is in short supply and prices are rising. Georgia and Alabama declared states of emergency. Meanwhile, a lot of drivers are saying 'dude, where's my gas?'

WHAT PEOPLE ARE TALKING ABOUT…

Jim Carrey. Yesterday, the actor was sued for wrongful death over his girlfriend's suicide last year. Cathriona White's estranged husband alleges Carrey used his celeb status to illegally get the painkillers White used to kill herself. Now he wants Carrey to backpay White's funeral costs plus damages. Carrey's lawyers say he got the pills legally. Yesterday, the actor said he "will not tolerate this heartless attempt to exploit me or the woman I loved."

WHAT TO SAY TO YOUR FRIEND WHO ALWAYS SAYS SHE'S RUNNING '5 MINS LATE'…

Lies. The feds are calling out Chris Christie for the same thing. Yesterday, a federal prosecutor said that the NJ Gov. knew about the Bridgegate scandal as it was happening. Reminder: back in 2013, lanes to the George Washington Bridge were closed off, leading to the mother of all traffic jams. Two officials were then charged with conspiracy to close the lanes as a revenge plot against a NJ mayor who refused to endorse Christie. Their trial started this week. During opening arguments, the prosecutor said they plan to call a witness who will testify that Christie knew about the closures. Since the drama started, Christie has said 'who are you lookin at?' Now prosecutors are saying 'you.'

UN Special Envoy on Tuberculosis: Giving Voice to the Voiceless 03/24/2016 07:24 am ET| Updated 2

A giant ribbon will not hang in front of the White House. No marches will be held. The lights on the Empire State building will not shine a special color. Instead, March 24th - World TB Day-is just like most any other day. Little attention will be paid to the fact that tuberculosis is now the number one infectious disease killer in the world. TB has long been the stepchild of the three major global health diseases - AIDS, TB and malaria. A major reason why is that TB primarily impacts people living in poverty, those who are voiceless or whose voices are simply ignored. It is ironic that a curable disease remains a disease fighting to gain attention. It is also ironic that at a time when Ebola and Zika have put our nation on notice about serious health threats, the same concern is not given to TB, which can spread like wildfire just by coughing. We need to look no further than Marion, Alabama to see how quickly TB can overwhelm a city. TB in Marion is now worsethan in man...

SHORT LOVE STORIES

A girl asked a boy if she was pretty, he said "No". She asked him if he wanted to be with her forever, he said "No". Then she asked him if he would cry if she walked away, he said "No". She had heard enough; she needed to leave. As she walked away he grabbed her arm and told her to stay. He said "You're not pretty, you're beautiful. I don`t want to be with you forever, I need to be with you forever. And I wouldn't cry if you walked away, I would die." A man bought 12 flowers. 11 real and 1 fake. He said, "I will love you until the last flower dies." Boy: Can I take a photo? Girl: Why? Boy: I just want to show my children how their mom looked when she was younger. There was a girl named Becca and a boy named Joe. Becca was in a burning house. None of the firefighters could get in the house because the fire was too big. Joe dressed in one of the fire suits and got into the house. When he got up the stairs, the ...
